When you buy a new or certified pre-owned Jeep, you’ll appreciate knowing that you have warranty coverage that extends after you’ve driven off the lot. The Jeep warranty shows that we stand behind our vehicles, and that you can trust your Jeep on the Glen Dale streets. Jeep’s warranty is extended through Mopar, so if your Jeep does need repairs covered inside of the warranty, you’ll work with Mopar and Straub Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to get the fixes you need.
Explore the warranty coverage options for new 2020 and CPO Jeeps below, along with information about extended coverage that you may be interested in!
All new Jeeps come with a 3-year, 36K mile basic limited warranty, which is “bumper to bumper coverage”. That means that its the most comprehensive coverage available and covers most systems and parts. Some things are excluded, like tires, but those often come with their own warranty to take advantage of. Here’s the full breakdown of what coverage you can expect from a new Jeep:
Length Of Coverage
3 Years, 36,000 Miles
5 Years, 60K Miles
3 years, unlimited miles; outer panels covered 5 years and unlimited miles
2 years, 24,000 miles
Because CPO vehicles undergo a thorough inspection and reconditioning process by Straub Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, and must be less than 5 years old with less than 75,000 miles, there are additional coverage options that you can expect. The CPO Powertrain Limited Warranty is transferrable from the original CPO owner to the next one, but a transfer fee applies and the warranty can only transfer once. For example: if you are the first person to buy a CPO Jeep from Straub Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, you’ll receive the powertrain warranty. If you then sell your CPO Jeep, you can pay a $150 transfer fee and the new owner will continue to benefit; however, the new owner can not then continue the coverage to another new owner.
Length of Coverage
7 years, 100,000 miles from the original new car sale date.
3 months, 3,000 miles from the sale as a CPO or the expiration of any remaining new car bumper-to-bumper warranty coverage.
It’s a great idea to consider an extended warranty on your new or CPO Jeep! Because manufacturer warranties only cover repairs from bad parts or poor workmanship, you can be open to some liability in the event of damage because of normal wear and tear caused by driving. Straub Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram offers extended warranties through Mopar that can extend your coverage and peace of mind to ensure that you have all of the coverage you need to feel secure as you explore the world in your Jeep.
